Excess Humidity in Charleston Crawl Space

Challenge
This crawlspace had a slue of issues that were causing microbial growth. In order to fight against fungal activity, mold spores, and dust mites, the humidity in your crawlspace must be maintained in a safe range of less than 60%. Upon inspection, air humidity levels were 21% over the safe range. Wood moisture readings revealed levels between 18%-21% and insulation readings showed a range of 28%-32%. The recommended healthy level of moisture is less than 15%.
Solution
New Age Contractors treated the mold and installed a vapor barrier as well as a dehumidifier and a crawlspace door. The moisture and humidity levels then returned to a healthy level. The client was extremely satisfied with the quality and timely manner in which the work was completed.
